Mindful-Based Childbirth and Parenting

MBCP is an evidenced-based course combining mindfulness skills with childbirth education. The intention of the class is to help participants develop inner resourcing in order to be with whatever presents itself during the pregnancy and birth experience, as well as strategies to enhance connection and joy during parenting.

In this Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting (MBCP) course, learn to:

  • Access deep physical and mental relaxation

  • Engage the mind to work with pain during labor

  • Increase confidence and courage for the experience of labor and delivery

  • Practice mindful movement

  • Develop skills for managing stress in pregnancy, parenting, and daily life

  • Cultivate inner awareness and mindful presence

  • Enhance partner communication skills

  • Become more aware of your own approach to parenting
